Ingredients

– 1 cup butter, softened
– 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
– 1 egg
– 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
– 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
– 1 teaspoon cinnamon
– 1 teaspoon baking powder
– 8 ounces semi sweet chocolate chips

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
 Preheat oven to 350°F.
Step 2
Using a stand mixer, beat butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Add egg and beat until mixed. Add cocoa powder, cinnamon, and baking powder. Add flour; mix until combined, but do not over mix.
Step 3
Fold in chocolate chips. Refrigerate dough for 30 minutes to an hour or more.
Step 4
Using a cookie scoop, portion even-sized dough balls onto a silpat lined baking sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes.
