Ingredients
– 1 grass-fed flank steak, approx. 16 oz
– 1/2 cup organic honey ginger soy marinade
– 2 tbs canola oil
– 1 red bell pepper, sliced
– 2 tbs canola oil
– 1 red bell pepper, sliced
– 1 medium onion, sliced
– 4 cups broccoli florets
– Salt & pepper to taste
– Salt & pepper to taste
– Jicama taco shells (optional)
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Add flank steak and honey ginger soy marinade into a ziptop bag, massaging meat to make sure it is well covered. Place on the counter for 2 hours or marinade over night. Prepare your vegetables.
Step 2
Heat a large wok over medium high heat. Add canola oil, red bell pepper, and onion. Season with salt & pepper and allow to cook for 2-3 minutes. Add broccoli florets, season, and cook until slightly softened, approxmately 5-7 minutes. Once vegetables are done to your liking, place in a bowl.
Step 3
Reduce wok heat to medium. Sear steak on both sides until caramelized, approximately 2-3 minutes. Cook steak to your desire temperature. Remove steak and let cool slightly, then cut against the grain into bite-sized strips.
Step 4
Return all components to wok, vegetables and meat. Add additional marinade if you like it saucy. Serve over a grain of your choice or inside of a taco shell to make it interesting!
