Dear Fedex,
2020 has been a really weird year. I don’t need to explain to you why. Socially, as a customer and human being, I have a hard time connecting and relating with perfect strangers due to the mask mandates that have been enforced the majority of the year. The eyes may be the window to the soul, but the smile is the welcome sign at the door. Of course, with a mask on, you can’t see another’s smile, full expression, and often cannot hear their message clearly.
This was not my experience with your employee, Erin. I spent hours upon hours preparing digital copies of original recipe cards to send to friends and supporters for the holidays. I browsed various printing options online at local and large retailers and had a few failed attempts at uploading and finalizing my order. As such, I had to go into Fedex in person to print this large product.
Erin is warm and welcoming. She greeted me with enthusiasm and friendliness. She had excellent recommendations as to how to improve the quality of my project, provided me with multiple samples and options to choose from, and made me feel so excited about sharing this project based on her unsolicited, positive feedback. Not only did Erin spend upwards of 20 minutes with me preparing my order, she also took the time to warmly greet every other customer who entered the store and politely asked them to wait patiently. She even was able to multitask and take care of multiple other customers as she was working with me, which was incredibly impressive.
Erin worked diligently, passionately, and swiftly on my project, which was completed in less than 48 hours from drop off. She was thoughtful in how she cut, organized, and separated each of my recipe card sets and made suggestions for packaging and mailing. She made this huge project very easy for me, THANKFULLY because I am a full-time clinical psychologist working double-time during the pandemic and a first-time mom of an 8-month-old. Employees like Erin are the reason I return to businesses like yours for future projects.
Thank you, Erin for making my holidays and the end of a somewhat dim year remarkably brighter.
Kelsey
